For a year now we have been using LED "headlight " type flashlights that strap on your head They are several brands using 3 AAA or 4 AA batteries having anywhere from 3-8 LED's and can be switched to use 1-3-4-8 LEDs
After using the headlight,type,I hate to use the handheld type. Your hands are always free,and the light shines where you look. Prices range from $7- $10
