Texas | I am drilling a remote water well and will have to power it with a generator. How do I calculate what size generator I need based on how many HP the pump motor is.
Looking at a 10 to 15 HP submersible motor. Single phase would be nice because I could use the generator as a backup at the house, but probably not very pratical. Three phase 460 vlt probably makes more sense. A small gear head would be good but there are not any distributers around here.
Anyone have any better ideas?
