I had the same problem with the cylinder speed sheaves on my 4400. I bought a pair of lock ring pliers at O'Reilly's. There a little beefer than most snap ring pliers and they wook oh so good. Best $16.00 dollars I ever spent. I used to shiver when I saw a lock ring but no more. Good luck. Sparky
