Subject: Help me do the math.

Renville Minnesota

"interest, fuel, tractor rent for 150hrs, chopper, man at 150 hrs"

Interest?    Same could be said for new gerringhoff head.

Fuel?    There is some hp RQ for heads.

Tractor hrs 150 x 40/hr = 6,000

150 man hrs 13/hr =   1,950

8,000 per year more for chopper vs Gerringhoff.   12-30 new this year was 125k - 35k for trade in - 27k for a 30' alloway folding chopper.   63,000 / 8,000      It would take me 7.8 years to break even for the gerringhoff.       Is it the fuel consumption that makes it work better?

Am trying to learn here, wondering why my math doesn't work as well as yours.

Thanks
