If changing heads is causing them to sit and wait on trucks, it sounds like they have a trucking problem. Nothing to do with the combine, it is unable to operate at capacity because they are failing to support it. You haul the head behind the combine. No need to have a pickup. Shouldn't really be transporting an 8 row on the machine either for the sake of the tires, but we (like probably everyone else) do it. No interest in a 125k head at this time. No interest in chopping stalks, either. What's the point of spending money and fuel chopping them when all it is going to do is leave all the crap on the ground and make it harder to plant the beans next year? |
