Subject: Neco(shivvers look alike) repair

I have a shivvers type Neco drying bin. When I used to fill the bin I had to have it stirring to keep it from getting stuck and not turning when fuller. last time that didnt work either and it didnt turn. After unloading the bin most of the way it started but wouldnt do anything(like it was disconnected somewhere. ) Neco stands for Nebraska __Company. Anyway why wont it turn full compared to empty??

AND IF "I" have to fix the gear box under there, how do you get it out since cant jack up center tube because of three roof augers???

The 'last' time I had the bin empty I turned it on for just a second 'empty'(to see if it worked) and the small sweep auger jumps up and down in the bin and broke the cast wheel on the end. IF I want to 'try' it before it is filled again how do you tie up or control the sweep from 'flying' like last time?? can you tie it to the door or ladder? Can you make it turn inside a iron ring(like a wooden wagon wheel iron band??) TIA --d--
