As Oliver says check the clutch switch first. Can always jump it at the starter and see if that is ok. Make sure you have somebody holding the brake on and clutch in and in neutral when doing this.Key switch could be bad. Also a rod on mine that pushes down through the steering sector that activates the starter. I would guess it's the clutch switch.
