Sounds about right, our local well driller/repair guy electrically tests every sub pump motor and feed wires any time he works on any part of the well. He runs into a lot of them where the wiring or motor windings have insulation damage from lightning. Says it saves having to pull the pump again in 20 below weather next winter. :)
