Subject: RE: Best Planter For Corn? - One that is properly maintained & set

Driftless SW Wisconsin
Just about any planter from the JD7000 to the latest CIH 1200, White, JD or Kinze can give you an excellent 'picket fence' stand if properly maintained, set, and operated. Just spending money on a new planter will not guarantee you a 'pickett fence' unless itis understood, set right and properly operated. It is hard to believe how many people have no idea how or why to set toolbar height and level...I would not trade planters due to seed prices unless you want a larger one or other features. Putting some time and money into your existing planter can do wonders for your stand. jmho.Jim at Dawn
