Subject: RE: Great Plains Drill

Orange County NY
Conventional or no-till? Our county SWCD has a Great Plains notill drill. I just used it to plant barley in corn stubble. I have also used it to plant alfalfa. Seems to be a real rugged machine. It has just over 2700 acers on the meter and I don`t think they have had much trouble with it. This is a machine that gets towed around and rented to several different farms. You know how rented equipment is treated by some people. It seems to be holding up. Never heard of any of the openers just falling off. They had a Tye(sp) before this one. I like the Great Plains.
