Please take into account that the deeper you go, the more HP you need.....
As someone suggested, I would put a shank in the midle of my tracks to compensate compaction, then one in the middle .... and test for traction!
If I have the feeling my tractor has still enough ponnies to share, I would add 2 shanks in between. I doubt that you will have enough HP to go 7 shanks going that deep.
I would then drive at an angle and do a second pass crossing it.
