Subject: Cracked rims on 9500

East Central SD
I have a 9500 combine with the earlier style JD duals- the type that dish in and out, and both rims are held on with the same bolts. Upon close inspection, I can see one hairline crack (3/4") going from a wheel bolt out, twords the tire. All it really looks like is a crack in the paint, but I'm sure it's deeper. On the other side, I have found a similar half inch long crack between two bolts, but touching neither one. Now the million dollar question. Would you swap wheels, try to weld them, or add a reinforcing ring? I know that the problem will not fix itself, so I was wondering what the best fix would be. And yes, I have a grain tank extension, but only run a 6 row head. Thanks for any help,
Erik
