Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I had a similar problem on an older "Green" combine. It turned out that the wire leading to the electric header clutch had been rubbing on a shaft.
The shaft wore partway through the wire. This meant that the clutch would engage for a time but then disengage because the remaining strands could not carry enough current to keep the clutch engaged.
This was maddening to trace down. It would have been much better if the wire had worn through completely. Once I found the problem, it was easy to repair. |
