Brinkley, Arkansas
Stay away from the 99 models they had lots of problems. The '01 and '02 models were much more dependable but still have some issues. I have 2 late model 270's that have been pretty good machines. They have both had injector pumps replaced under warranty. CIH apparently used cheap hyd. hoses on these tractors because that has been the majority of their downtime. I have replaced every steering line and brake line on both of these tractors. These require the front of the cab to be lifted but its not too bad of a job. None of the replacement hoses have given a minutes trouble. Both of them have had to go to the shop for a major hyd. line break under the cab which required the entire cab to be lifted. I have been told that the 285's are much superior tractors but don't have any first hand experience with them.
