I bought a new 1440 in '82 & later traded it for a 1660 in '91. On both machines the feederhouse would creep up a ways when there wasn't a head on the machine. I never really thought too much about it. Was kind of a PITA hooking up to the heads & having to keep hitting the "down" button. Once the head was on they were fine. Latter owned a 2366 & now have a 2388 & neither did it.
