Jeff You might be new here. There was a poster here about 2 wks ago that was REFUSED warranty claim on a late model Ford Powerstroke that had been "chipped" (or re-programmed....whichever). The turbo was cooked-to the tune of $1700 or so. Not sure what the reason for cooked turbo was, owner said gauges showed no other malfunctions. Anyway-longtime friend Ford dealer refused him. So-to answer you question, yes. But, I'd sure like to ask, if you get that truck would you drive it stock for a while, then if you decide to boost it, report back on that increased mpg?
