| OK with cable the electric reverser from the factory or by now a salvage yard won't fit because the autoheader height controls are in the way.
Have seen a home made reverser where a ring gear from a junked auto was mounted to the lower pulley on the left looking forward on the feeder house. Then a bracket was fabricated to position a starter to correctly engage the ring gear when activated. The one I am most familiar with used an gas engine sized starter and did not have much power. I would like to build a similar version myself, using a hydraulic motor instead of the starter but haven't thought of a satisfactory clutch system to replace the bendix on the starter. | |
