Subject: Re: Auto header height for corn heads

Dave,
I believe that once you try auto header control you will not want to be without - in standing or down corn. Like the others have mentioned, the biggest challenge of header control in down corn is to getting the combine and head set properly to keep the snout tips under the stalks. An improperly set header control system can cause you a lot of frustration. Make sure that your automatic drop rate, and height sensitivities are set properly, in the case of down corn especially, set each the to the maximum possible without causing the head to jump. I invite you (or anyone else) to give me a call if you are interested in some quick tips for your specific combine and header model, whether you choose to use Headsight products or not. We would love to help you out.
