That chute that you are talking about plugging up right behind the openers is for fertilizer. The seed chute is right between the two openers up high on the top of them and drops seed down in between them. If you were putting seed in that hopper it prolly would be hard to set it. The reason I know what I do about these is I bought a used one and have gone over it from top to bottom but have never pulled it. The ground is wet or I would do it today.
