Subject: Dodge U-Joints failing

WCIN
My 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 is in the shop again to have U-joints replaced. This truck only has 42K miles and has never towed or even hauled that much and I baby it to get decent milage. They say at the shop that all new trucks no matter what brand have the same issues. Do they? I have never heard of any. My old 1982 Ford with 250+K had the original u-joints in the front and I only replaced the rears once. I worked that truck hard, gooseneck livestock and grain trailer.
Of course I had to pay the $100 deductible twice even though I had taken it in before the warranty expired and they could not find the problems then. Let me know if all new trucks are having u-joint problems. Thanks
