Macon, IL | You are probably right-the bottom pipe may not be needed-but it just seemed to flex a little with only the top one so I put it on for some additional strength. I had intentions to use it to put a 6-row corn head on as well so I put the rear stops about 13.5ft apart-but I am just not sure about the weight of that head on it. Taking 6-row down the road on the combine isn't that bad anyway.
