Don't know. Seems kind of like filler plates/religious issue thing-some people wouldn't run without them-and some that take them out say they will never go back.

I bought the stuff to do one but never put it on. I do have a couple areas with some shorter beans this year-if they have a problem or I am picking up rocks I may run up and bolt it on-otherwise it may just stay in the shed. Materials only cost about $40 so not much to lose if you are having those problems-can always take it off.
