Subject: Fertigate N, before or after tassel?

South-central Nebraska
A local seed agronomist says that ideally one should fertigate 30 lbs N late season if possible. It is a scenario where in 9 out of 10 years you may not see a response, but in the one year it may be tremendous. That is fine, but he says to apply AFTER tassel verses before like most publications say to do. He also says that pretassel recommendations were for when 180 bu yield goals were the norm. The after tassel application is for the 200 plus yield goals. I didn't really want to mess with fertigation period, but I may try one pivot, half pretassel and half post. It would only be a difference of 15-20 days.
