Subject: RE: Frosted soybeans

Woodbury county
In my 43 years of farming I have had soybeans frosted in almost every stage of their growth. If your soybeans have started to change color, you shouldn't have any problem with them......the frost will hurry them to harvest. I had soybeans totally green frosted on my river bottom once and had a lot of deformed and green soybeans at harvest......but after sitting in my bin all winter they came out pretty much a normal color. I did figure I had lost some yield with these green frosted soybeans. The frost you had may not have completely killed the plant......if it did kill the plant you will be able to see that very quickly.
