Subject: 20.8r38 duals vs. 24.5R32 singles

Cullom, Illinois
I just bought a New Holland 9480 four wheel drive. It has 300 horsepower and I will be using it to pull a seven shank subsoiler set on 20" spacing and a dry fertilizer applicator. My problem is the tractor is almost wider than the chisel. Will 24.5R32 singles pull as good as the 20.8R38 duals that are on it now? I could add shanks but then I run into not having enough horsepower again. I looks to me like the wide singles would pull as good as the duals but this is my first four wheel drive and I don't have much experience. The tires on it now are new and I think I could trade them for the singles for even money. Any advice would be appreciated.
