Yep, they work good for it. Like others have said here back off the downpressure. If it's one of the earlier models with the metal rims in the gauge wheels you may think about making some covor plates for the outside of the rims on the back gang. What we found was that before we did that the rims had a tendency to throw dirt(sometimes quite a bit) on top of the row planted by the front gang.
