Last date to stop planting wheat ?

We are 60 miles south of you and have just started planting no-till wheat. We have planted as late as Dec 1 and have had respectable yields. The later you are, more seed should be planted. I feel the ideal date here is Oct 20. Make sure the driller gets the seed deep enough. Have seen later planted stands die because of too shallow of planting. Good luck!
