If all else fails take a piece of pipe just bigger in diameter and longer than the axle and cap one end of it. Then on the other end notch out a half of the pipe so it only contacts the bottom wedge and then wail on the end of the pipe with the BFH.
Or if your Ballsy hit the bolts that tighten the wedge with the hammer. Worst case there is you break the Wedge.
