Southeast Florida | I must be a magnet for them. After surviving hurricane Charlie, Francis, Jean (lost myhouse in that one) and Wilma now we encourted a 6.7 earth quake yesterday. No damage but without power though for 16 hours. Rolls-Royce jet turbines don't react to shaking very well and HECO (Hawaii Electric Company) had to drag out the CAT generators to cover for the downed jets. The gen sets have 3 axles under them and had a 4 axle tractor pull them into the yard. We've got a major substation by our shop and referigation facility that had 8 of them in there screaming today. | |
