The mushrooms will likely be growing where there is something organic in the soil, ie an old tree stump, roots, etc below grade. This was brought to my attention after asking about mushrooms in the house yard. I believe you should look below ground, just like in the corn fields!
Any chemicals, I don't have any idea. I think you need to get rid of the host.
