Galahad, Alberta | I was told by more than one trucker that airbags can explode by going from 70 psi to zero in a very short time. They stretch up too far. I noticed today when I dumped the whole tridem in a big elevator pit and forgot to dump the air on the trailer, the airbags were stretched out a long way, probably 4" past normal range, so I quickly dumped them. I've never heard the "skid tires" or "bend landing gear" theories.
