Salt is a great idea. Thank you.

I remembered that there were a couple tree stumps a couple feet under the gravel that we ground out but may still be the organic matter and source of the spores. These things really make a mess.

I like the salt better than the fungicides inside. Hopefully the salt will hold them at bay until some plastic sheet and 5-6" of concrete fit the budget. I need some floor heat in there anyway - will probably install tubes for an outdoor wood furnace someday.

Thank you for the salt suggestion.
