Subject: Re: In line rippers

West Union, IOWA FLOLO Farm 52175
I've owned a 2500parabolic and demoed a 2100notill shank last fall and ended up buying an unvereth last week.

The DMI 2500 cracked the setbacks off the first day out and within 2 yrs couldn't keep the sanks tight and spent many hour hardfacing the points, new tiger points could be shot in a day if you hit many a rock. Towards the end I'd cut cutting edge "1x8"for loader bucket" in about 3" and weld that on and run 1000 acres.

The Deere 2100 I demoed last fall impressed the heck out of me the laser points lasted never chipped or a thing on 200 acres

The unverferth ($6300 list)I bought for $3000 less then the Deere, I would have ponied up for the Deere if I planned on running as much as I used to but I did several checks last fall with the 2100 and where I ran the DMI 5 years ago I could run 12 gear with an 8110 @ 20" vs 5-6 gear on a farm that needed to be ripped--loran

After thought, friend the tanks manure has Deere and DMI shanks on back of HOULE tanks and from what I've heard better luck with the Deere.
