![](http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/get-attachment.asp?action=view&attachmentid=131749) South Georgia | I put an electric water pump on my cotton picker a few years ago, in case of fire, since it already has a 275 gallon water tank on it. (Why they don't come from the factory with the electric pump and water hose, I'll never understand. I call the cotton picker my 'hydrostatic fire hazard.') I was thinking of putting one of our empty 30 gallon generic Roundup barrels on the back of the combine with another electric water pump, and a couple of water hoses. One in the engine compartment, and one under the cab platform, probably. The biggest expense would be the pump (about $100), and a couple of cheap water hoses, and nozzles. We had an engine fire on our 9400 a couple of years ago, and that water sure would have cut down on the damage. We did get it out, but we were shut down a long while waiting for parts.
