NE SD | We like it so far. The main selling point was the poly and cost. Those snouts are VERY nice. First "new" head we've ever owned, but it's kind of hard to test it with our lower yielding corn this year. Cost increase to go with new gearboxes was significant, and the 40 series boxes it came with have a one year warranty and have the upgraded bearings, etc. I think if a guy is really that worried about it, dealers are practically giving away 4 row heads. You could easily buy one and rebuild a row unit or two yourself to keep on hand. I think you will be happy with a 1220 from them. I don't really see where you're 9560 should have any trouble with a 12 row. We did have to put fluid in the tires on our 9650 and now it handles it pretty good. It wouldn't lift the tires off before, but the contact patch was so small we were worried it may get "squirrely" in transport. It could use a slight hydraulic pressure boost though. | |
