Subject: Re: stripper head

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
I ran a Massey stripper this year and REALLY liked it. Yes, they do perform very efficiently in high yielding wheat but I also ran it in some wheat down to 10 bu./a. and was very pleased. I could run 9 mph...something I could not have done with a regular grain head and sickle.
Sure does save a lot of wear on the combine. Saved 25% in fuel usage.
How wide is the header in Ohio? I might find a home for it. What is the price on it?
