south Texas , York Rife Freemason | im thinking about a homemade system too .if a person was really worried about it temp sensors could be placed where fire is likley to start ,then have a monitor in the cab . this could be done with off- the- shelf parts too. im intersted in this also - ever see how many round balers are burned up in the salvage yard (here anyway). i dont really worry about losing the baler ,it is insured and paid for .i dont want to burn up my mint condition 5088 or a field with 20,000$ worth of hay. i have had one baler fire and put it out with the stainless steel fire ext that deere sells with the baler .but it will scare the heck out of you . on a blaer it is almost caused by a failed bearing and then the hay in the chamber catches ,then the belts catch and it is a point of no return. with all the great minds on here im sure someone could come up with a homemade system |
