Subject: Re: Cat 35 or 45

We don't have 35 or 45, but do have a 65. The Cat motors are good, without saying. I would disagree with the maintenance on the "gearboxes" There is a transmission like any other tractor. Remember there are no front wheel assists, so there are no ujoints to maintain, thus fewer less expensive shafts, etc. There are bearings in the bogies, but we change oil in them annually for preventative maintenance and that is inexpensive. The narrow stance tractors are pretty reasonably priced, as the wider stance has advantages in turning, ride, etc.
