Egg layers have a Meyer pull type.  If I rememeber right  the spread is only 15 feet and the discharge rate is set, no adjustment.  I think it ended up like 10-12 ton acre as fast as you wanted to sit in the seat!!!

You need to look at how much you what to put on and what the litter is like that you get, is it consistant and how does the spreader adjust the flow of material.  re. Ground speed or Gate height, belt speed.

It was an nice even spread but the rate is not low enough for us.  It was 3 years ago when we tried that out so maybe I don't remember right.
