We have a samson flex 20 with the 2 axles that we spread cow and beef manure, also lime but we used it mainly for spreadind pulp and paper sludge (about 15000 tons/year). When spreading lime you have to be gentle with it and not overload it.
It spread about 20'-25' wide depending on the product.
The spreading rate is very easy to adjust , you can go from 2-3 tons/acre to 18-20 tons/acre, and you can unload it in about 1-2 minutes.
We pull it with a 8300t or 8220 and load it with a komatsu pc-130.
It's a pretty good spreader , light and strong.
