nw pa
well we took off the oil cooler, checked it at 100 lbs pressure. got it hot enough in front of the space heater you couldn't touch it without welders gloves. Didn't find any obvious leaks or hear any. then put it into a bucket of warm water. Still no leaks. The only hope was that when we took it off the bolts weren't very tight and you could see where a couple were seeping out the side. Maybe by some stroke of luck the two were mixing where the bolt goes through the gaskets. Anyway we put new gaskets on and put it back together. Tomorrow we are going to flush the system, There was some coolant in the oil,not much but we drained some cold and after it set for awhile you could see that there was a little. Almost ready to pull the head and check that but hate to do it since if the liners are leaking will have to pull the rest of it and we aren't ready to do that. The part of the engine that you could see through the cooler hole was super clean, not a trace of rust or scale. Was able to see parts of three liners.
Any other simple ideas before we get into this further.

thanks to all
