| I have the Phantom 4 as well, and use an ipad to control it. I have an iphone as well too, but the screen is much bigger on the ipad, which you alluded to. The bracket on the controller opens plenty wide for a full-sized ipad. I have my ipad in an Otterbox Defender case, so it's a little too wide for the controller bracket to hold it tight, but as long as I don't get careless with the controller (tip it all over the place) I am just fine. The benefits of the ipad far outweigh the negatives of not being held as tight. If I didn't have the ipad in a big case it would be held just as well as the iphone. Just my experience...
Edited to add: I also have the bracket that is linked above, but not sure if I would need it if my ipad didn't have a case.
