MN | I have the second one, it will have no problem rolling 1/2 rod with the right dies. The SWAG guy sells decent priced dies. http://www.swagoffroad.com/ It will only go so small on the diameter so watch for that.
It works OK for most what we've used it for.
This is a die set we've bought for rolling flat, and also used it for 1/2 square rod. I'm pretty sure round 1/2 will work, just set it in the square slot. http://www.harborfreight.com/3-piece-die-set-66598.html
