Subject: RE: To hexx with Ford

There is no way I would be Ford's ginny pig and buy their 6.7 liter the first year it comes out. (read repeat disaster ala 6.0 liter Power Stroke) I agree with Dave on the inline 6. If Ford had their act together, they would go with the Cummins as a first choice and the International 466 as a second choice. Cummins has already fielded a 6.7 liter inline six paterned on the B5.9. It is currently being offered in the 2007 Dodge trucks. The 6.7 liter Cummins will make 650 ft./lbs. torque at 1500 rpm. Dodge will also be offering a six speed automatice transmission for it as well. My preference is with the 6 speed manual gearbox as it works best with an exhaust brake and is the most reliable in my opinion. After the screwing I took on my last Chevy 3/4 ton, no more GM products for me.
