northeastern Ohio | Hi Chris, I've been running a 1200 for 2 years. The only time I have plugged the seed openers is if I back up into a dike or set it down while stationary. But my silt loam soils sound way different than what you are describing. I don't think there has been much design change in the openers since the 800, but the offset closing disk is different.
