| Yep, you're right. AGCO really got their stuff together with these Series II and V machines. Our R52 has been the most reliable combine we've ever owned. We are just about finished with the 13th season - 2400 separator hrs. Last year, we replaced rotor bars and concave. Accelerator roll lugs have been replaced once. All augers are still in very good condition - I'd say less than 50% wore. We are on our 5th season with ZERO downtime - last breakdown we can remember was a feederhouse jackshaft drive bearing, and that took all of 3 hrs to fix.
Gleaner got a bad reputation from the old N series. Early R series were better, but still had a lot of minor things going wrong here and there. You fellas would do yourself a favor by considering these new Gleaners. I realize that dealer support is a serious issue an many areas, but when they run like this, it becomes much less of an issue. | |
