North East Kansas | We are more interested in a flex draper, but we demoed a 1020 25' flex head today. This is the first time that we have run a red combine or flex head. The problem that we were having was that soybean stubble would push the middle of the flex head up and it wouldn't cut low enough to do a good job in the middle. I set the downpressure leaf springs so that we were at the maximum down pressure, but the middle was definately not as stiff as the outsides. I think this is because of the weight difference between the outsides and the middle, but either way I couldn't get the downpressure sufficient enough in the middle to do a good job. Does anyone have any suggestions. I don't want the wrong impression of the head if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance,
