| Just today I heard one of my customers tell me a story that was unbelievable, but very true. This happened just a few short days ago.
They were moving their combine from one field to the next, not too far away. They had an escort in front and behind the combine. They have a 9500 50th anniv. with rubber tracks and rear duals. Yes, up here in WNY, even Franz will testify, it is very wet and muddy. Picture this.....the "authorities" pull them over and ask the driver of the combine for his combine license. Yes, you read it right, his combine license. They proceed to cuff him and put him in the car for not having plates on his combine. He spends 2 hours in the car on what is one of the best days this fall we have had to harvest.
The DOT comes and finally gives them a ticket for being overwidth. When will this all end? When will the powers that be realize that because of these guys, because of everyone in this country that depends on the ground for a living, that this "authority" has a COTTON shirt on his back, can have his whole WHEAT bread with his CORN flakes every morning while he drowns them in SOY milk.....when will they realize that it is because of you guys that this world keeps spinning, that we eat everyday.....
This makes me so frustrated, so mad, and I am only on the outside looking in.
I saw a shirt that a friends college classmates once made that I am thinking about making once again. It reads "God Bless America and the Farmer that Feeds your Fat @ss."
Sorry for the rant, but come on....
