We had a 9170 with 3200 hrs before we traded it and never did a thing to it. pulled a 30 ft GP no-till drill with 500 gallon of fertilizer on saddle tanks in some wetter years and never had a failure, plus the fuel economy was a bonus. They never had the best styling at the time but they were a good tractor and now should be good value if you find one that was taken care of.
