Subject: RE: Grain Dryers

East Central Ia
We are in the same boat... we have 2 shivers dryers at smaller sites that we feed hogs at and an older MC (Kansun) dryer at our large storage site. We are looking to put a bigger dryer at our main site. We like the Kansun but need something with more capacity. We are looking for something that has very good automatic moisture control so we don't have to babysit it like SteveL said.

I have heard that the horizontal style dryers have a lot of build up on the tops that have to be cleaned almost daily, anyone have this problem? We are used to the tower style dryer and really don't even have to clean it off. Maybe once a season i will knock stuff off with a broom. I am also interested in Sukup dryer. Anyone else have any thoughts?
